About The Role
Join the Qualcomm Adreno GPU Software team in Cork, Ireland, focusing on developing next-generation GPU developer tools. This position involves creating advanced profiling, performance analysis, and debugging tools for Snapdragon Adreno GPUs, collaborating closely with hardware and software teams to validate and enhance performance, and improving user experience by resolving issues and adding features. This role offers exposure to cutting-edge GPU hardware design and the opportunity to influence how developers optimize graphics performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement features for profiling, performance analysis, and GPU debugging tools.
- Work collaboratively with GPU hardware and software teams for performance validation and analysis.
- Identify, debug, and optimize issues affecting developer tools and the overall user experience.
- Engage with the developer community, partners, and OEMs to enhance tool effectiveness.
Ideal Qualifications and Experience
- At least 5 years of professional experience in software development or related fields.
- Strong programming skills in C/C++ or demonstrated expertise with C#, Rust, or Go in tools or application development.
- Good understanding of GPU hardware architecture and graphics concepts.
Additional Preferred Skills
- Experience with graphics APIs such as Vulkan, DirectX, Metal, OpenGL, WebGL, or game engines like Unity or Unreal Engine.
- Proficiency in GPU computing frameworks such as OpenCL, CUDA, or SYCL.
- Hands-on experience debugging, profiling, optimizing real-time graphics or compute applications.
- Familiarity with graphics profilers and debuggers including Nsight, PIX, GPA, RenderDoc.
- Knowledge of recent graphical advancements like ray tracing, mesh shading, and work graphs.
- Expertise in image and video processing, data parallelism, and machine learning algorithms.
Educational Background
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline with over 2 years of software engineering experience; or
- Master's degree in a related field with at least 1 year of relevant experience; or
- PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related subject.
- Experience programming in languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python is also required.
