Job Overview

The Welder - Instrument Builder is tasked with assembling, welding, testing, and inspecting instrument components while adhering strictly to manufacturing, safety, and quality standards. This position is crucial in supporting production line operations by ensuring meticulous craftsmanship, operational efficiency, and ongoing process enhancement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out assembly, welding, testing, and inspection of instrument products and components.
  • Execute TIG welding on diverse materials, maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Set up, operate, and conduct maintenance on welding machinery and related tools.
  • Perform product tests, verify quality, troubleshoot basic issues, and apply necessary repairs.
  • Inspect welds and assembled products to confirm they meet specifications and quality criteria.
  • Assist in calibration and assembly following established manufacturing protocols.
  • Maintain the condition of equipment, tools, and spare parts to guarantee production readiness.
  • Work with Manufacturing and Production Engineers on process, quality, and productivity improvements.
  • Ensure strict adherence to Quality Management System guidelines.
  • Contribute to lean manufacturing and continuous improvement programs.
  • Propose safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance enhancements.
  • Keep the workplace safe, orderly, and clean following 5S organizational principles.
  • Support flexible production by performing multiple tasks and participating in job rotation as needed.
  • Comply with all safety protocols and promptly report potentially hazardous conditions.

Required Qualifications

  • Technical Diploma, Technical College certification, or equivalent credential.
  • At least 1 to 2 years of experience specifically in TIG welding.
  • Background in manufacturing, assembly, or industrial production environments.
  • Basic proficiency with computer applications.
  • Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Physical ability to stand, bend, lift, and handle physically intensive tasks as required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in instrumentation or process automation manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of product testing and quality inspection procedures.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing concepts and 5S workplace organization.
  • Experience handling production documentation and following manufacturing protocols.
