Wealth Planning Associate - AVP

Overview

The Investment Counsellor, reporting to the Head of Specialist Advisory at Citi UAE, is entrusted with providing top-tier investment counsel and expertise to the Citigold Private Client segment. The role includes guiding clients through market updates, supporting senior relationship managers with portfolio strategy, sharing market insights, and delivering education on investment products. The primary objective is to enhance client satisfaction, increase assets under management (AUM), revenue, and wallet share by promoting a comprehensive portfolio approach and effectively executing Citi's investment strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage end-to-end project deliverables aligned with company goals.
• Collaborate with business, engineering, risk, and operations teams to translate needs into measurable results.
• Drive operational improvements to boost quality and efficiency.
• Ensure adherence to documentation, compliance, and governance standards.
• Track KPIs and operational metrics; proactively address risks and obstacles.
• Act as a main liaison and trusted advisor to stakeholders.
• Facilitate cross-functional coordination with transparent communication and executive reporting.
• Provide mentorship and support to junior staff, fostering innovation and accountability.

Qualifications and Competencies

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or related quantitative fields; advanced degrees or certifications such as PMP, AWS Certified, or CFA are valued.
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience managing complex projects from initiation to successful completion.
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills capable of explaining complex concepts clearly to varied audiences.
• Experience working within large-scale, regulated, or enterprise environments.
• Proficient in English; knowledge of Arabic is advantageous.
