Job Overview
Join Thomson Reuters as a Senior Regulatory Associate within the ONESOURCE Regulatory Affairs team based in Dubai. This role focuses on navigating the complexities of global e-invoicing and tax technology compliance, ensuring the company maintains its leading position internationally.
Key Responsibilities
- Continuously research, track, and interpret global regulatory frameworks including digital real-time controls, data privacy, data sovereignty, data retention, and indirect tax compliance.
- Collaborate with external subject-matter experts to gain precise understandings of regulatory and technical mandates.
- Lead or contribute to efforts securing and maintaining necessary accreditations in various jurisdictions.
- Advise product teams on strategy, design, business requirements, and trade-offs related to product features and functionalities.
- Facilitate cross-departmental education on evolving regulatory issues and developments.
- Partner with marketing to shape thought leadership and market positioning strategies concerning compliance.
- Represent Thomson Reuters in trade associations, international groups, and public forums, taking official stances when needed.
- Build and sustain formal and informal relationships with governmental and inter-governmental agencies.
- Support sales and professional services teams to enhance customer engagement and retention.
- Drive additional revenue streams through departmental product and service offerings.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years experience in e-invoicing, continuous transaction controls, tax technology, indirect tax, or related legal/compliance areas including digital privacy and security.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Law, Economics or related fields with relevant experience.
- Fluency in spoken and written English.
- Exceptional communication skills and collaborative team spirit, with clear documentation practices.
- Proficiency in MS Office; comfortable leveraging generative AI and other visualization and planning tools.
- Technical aptitude to integrate generative AI technologies effectively while adapting to varied projects.
- Preferred: Additional language skills such as Arabic, French, German, Mandarin are advantageous.
- Preferred: Experience with ERP systems, B2B data integration, managed services, and some familiarity with design/layout tasks.
