Warehouse Team Leader

Role Overview

As a Warehouse Team Leader based in Clonee, County Meath, your primary focus will be ensuring exceptional service delivery to both external customers in stores and internal colleagues within the warehouse and other departments. You'll lead your team with pride, managing accurate and efficient order picking while strictly following company policies and supervising the warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in operating an efficient warehouse that fulfills operational demands and meets specified targets.
• Train new warehouse operatives within your scope.
• Maintain and investigate inventory accuracy, ensuring accurate stock movement records.
• Support and participate in scheduled stock takes.
• Identify and propose improvements to warehouse systems.
• Address and resolve warehouse issues when possible; escalate more complex problems as needed.
• Contribute to planning future capacity requirements.
• Ensure correct manual handling practices for lifting and moving products and materials.
• Keep all warehouse vehicles, machinery, and equipment in good working order.
• Maintain strict security standards within the warehouse at all times.
• Ensure health, safety, and COVID-19 protocols are followed to protect everyone onsite.
• Maintain a clean and organized working environment to support operational efficiency.

People Management

• Manage operatives’ attendance and timekeeping, supporting the management team with personnel issues.
• Communicate regularly with staff about priorities, targets, and operational needs.
• Assist with recruitment, training, and monitoring performance to ensure targets are achieved.
• Report progress, key achievements, and concerns to the Warehouse Manager or senior management.

Relationship Management

• Coordinate with Ashbourne warehouse, drivers, and transport companies promptly when required.
