Job description
Role Overview
This position is a hands-on warehouse leadership role based within a prison environment located in the Isle of Wight, supporting the HMPPS Canteen Service. The role involves leading teams including offenders, ensuring accurate stock management, and coordinating the picking, packing, and distribution of approved items.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate inside a prison setting, leading and working alongside offenders within the warehouse.
- Carry out physical tasks including picking, packing, and manual handling up to 20kg.
- Maintain precise stock records and ensure smooth operational flow.
- Work efficiently at required pace, staying well-organized.
- Collaborate as part of a team to consistently meet operational targets.
Candidate Profile
- Applicants from all backgrounds are welcome; positive attitude and communication skills are vital.
- Ability to communicate effectively and manage challenging interactions.
- Comfort with working inside a prison environment alongside offenders.
- Must have a minimum of three years UK address history to meet security clearance requirements.
- Willingness to actively engage in physical warehouse duties.
- Motivated by contributing to meaningful work that impacts lives.
