About the Role
Joining Kuehne+Nagel's Contract Logistics team as a Warehouse Operative means playing a vital part in crafting, managing, and refining processes that ensure efficient movement of goods. This role is crucial in guaranteeing that customers' products, from everyday items to seasonal goods, are stored and handled with accuracy, impacting businesses and communities globally.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily compliance verifications and assist in related investigations.
- Manage and update the Master Firearms List; organize and record Firearms Training sessions for relevant staff.
- Conduct thorough trailer and package approval inspections to confirm all necessary approvals are completed.
- Inspect pallets for quality and adherence to hazard compliance standards.
- Carry out audits of signage, identifying faded or incorrect signs, and update first aid information as necessary.
- Prepare monthly compliance reports covering dangerous goods, firearms, battery, and safety performance metrics.
- Provide updates on Continuous Improvement (CI) and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives.
Candidate Requirements
- Experience performing compliance checks and supporting compliance investigations.
- Ability to maintain detailed records such as the Master Firearms List and coordinate training schedules.
- Knowledge of trailer, packaging, and pallet quality checks with attention to hazard regulations.
- Skill in conducting signage audits and updating safety information.
- Competence in compiling comprehensive monthly compliance reports.
- Engaged in continuous improvement processes and sustainability initiatives.
