Role Overview

Oxford Pharmacy Store (OPS), affiliated with the NHS, seeks a diligent and dependable Warehouse Caretaker to manage the smooth, safe, and secure daily functioning of the warehouse facility located in Banbury, Oxfordshire. This hands-on position involves overseeing site caretaking and facility-related tasks to ensure compliance, upkeep, and operational readiness of the warehouse premises. Close collaboration with internal teams, contractors, and Trust support departments is essential to maintain stringent health, safety, and security standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily caretaking duties and uphold the safe operation of the warehouse site.
• Serve as the site’s Health and Safety Officer, ensuring adherence to local guidelines and Trust policies.
• Coordinate the cleaning contract and supervise daily cleaning service delivery, including communication with service providers.
• Organize pest control measures while monitoring their effectiveness and addressing issues promptly.
• Arrange, supervise, and track maintenance for critical site equipment such as forklifts, pallet trucks, MEWPs, air-conditioning systems, and refrigerators, liaising with relevant personnel as needed.
• Oversee service, maintenance, and troubleshooting of fire alarms, intruder alarms, fire extinguishers, and other safety equipment on site.
