Job description
Role Overview
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for efficient management and handling of inventory within the warehouse, ensuring smooth operational workflows across various tasks such as Non-Performing Inventory management, picking & packing, stock organization, and dispatch activities.
Primary Responsibilities
- Identify, segregate, and categorize Non-Performing Inventory (NPI) including slow-moving, expired, near-expiry, damaged, or defective products according to company guidelines.
- Carefully inspect items for condition discrepancies and update inventory records to reflect accurate status such as NPI, hold, damage, return, or scrap.
- Label and tag NPI stock clearly for straightforward tracking and coordinate with related teams for returns, disposal, or further processing.
- Utilize order sheets or digital picking lists to select items accurately from racks or bins, verifying product codes, quantities, and product conditions before completing packing procedures.
- Ensure packaging is secure and appropriate, applying proper materials, labels, shipping details, and barcode stickers to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain organized storage by arranging goods in a systematic manner, adhering to FIFO or relevant company policies, and keeping racks and shelves orderly.
- Assist in stock audits, cycle counts, and inventory reconciliations to preserve inventory accuracy.
- Manage materials including loading, unloading, stacking, and unstacking pallets efficiently.
- Handle returned items by inspection, sorting, classification into resalable, repairable, or scrap categories, and update return logs meticulously.
- Coordinate with respective teams for restocking or disposal of returned inventory.
- Prepare dispatch orders ensuring all documentation such as packing lists, invoices, and labels are accurate and coordinate with transport partners to schedule shipments.
- Safely load goods for delivery and track dispatch status until handover is complete.
- Generate and print barcode labels for products, cartons, and pallets, ensuring labels are correct, legible, and properly affixed at various points in warehouse operations for effective traceability.
- Perform scanning of items during receiving, picking, packing, and dispatch processes to maintain accurate tracking records.
- Work assigned night shifts as needed, maintaining productivity and safety standards, and execute shift handover procedures for a seamless transition between shifts.
Compensation
The position offers a salary ranging from INR 14,100 to INR 17,500 per month.
