Warehouse Associate - Cleaning (1st Shift)

Job Overview

Classic Tents & Events is seeking a dedicated Warehouse Associate specializing in cleaning for the first shift. This non-exempt hourly role starts at $16.50 per hour and reports to the Cleaning Supervisor. The main responsibility is to inspect and thoroughly clean all tents in inventory, ensuring they are ready for customer orders and scheduled deliveries.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean tent vinyls and equipment like flooring, tables, and chairs.
• Fold and unfold tent vinyls for inspection and cleaning purposes.
• Use cleaning agents to eliminate dirt, stains, and debris from vinyls and equipment.
• Operate automated vinyl washers, including loading and unloading.
• Clean various materials such as vinyl, wood, and plastics using mops, brooms, and pressure washers.
• Inspect returned tents and equipment for damages and ensure timely processing and repairs.
• Support other departments as necessary to maintain excellent customer service.
• Carry out any additional tasks as required by supervisors.

• Ability to follow direction from warehouse supervisors effectively.
• Primarily works indoors in a warehouse that may lack air conditioning.
• Periodic outdoor work in varying weather conditions including heat, cold, sun, and rain.
• Regular use of safety gear such as vests, masks, and gloves is required.
• Work environment may involve close proximity to colleagues and exposure to loud noises.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent GED mandatory.
• Physical ability to consistently lift 20-40 lbs, occasionally up to 70 lbs.
• Availability to work any day of the week, including weekends.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with equipment rental industry and tent setup preferred.
• Experience in construction or outdoor fieldwork is advantageous.
• At least three months experience in rental, warehouse, or cleaning roles is a plus.
• Bilingual skills or proficiency in Spanish are considered an asset.
