Job Overview
We are seeking a Warehouse Assistant to join a reputable marine maintenance and repair company located in Darwin, Northern Territory. This full-time, onsite position offers a competitive pay rate of $35.00 per hour plus applicable penalties, with working hours Monday to Friday (38-hour week) and optional Saturday shifts.

Key Duties
- Support mechanical tradespeople and blasters/painters with daily workshop functions.
- Operate forklifts to manage receipt, relocation, and dispatch of materials and marine parts.
- Prepare and pack components, supplies, and materials for shipping.
- Transport boat, barge, and ship elements throughout the premises.
- Perform general maintenance of the yard and upkeep of workshop cleanliness.
- Use various power tools including drills, grinders, and oxy-cutting equipment as needed.
- Ensure a safe, organized working environment by following prescribed site safety protocols.
Candidate Requirements
- Possession of a current forklift licence.
- Valid driver's licence.
- Mechanical aptitude and flexibility to assist in diverse tasks within the workshop.
- Experience operating power tools, grinders, drills, and oxy-cutting apparatus is preferred.
- Strong dedication to workplace health and safety standards.
- Dependable, punctual, and capable of collaborating effectively in a team setting.
Compensation and Benefits
- Hourly wage of $35.00 plus penalties.
- Standard workweek Monday to Friday, with available Saturday shifts.
