Role Overview

The Novotel & Ibis Abu Dhabi Gate Hotels seek a motivated and skilled Waiter/Waitress to join their hospitality team in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This role demands punctuality, professionalism, and a guest-centered approach to deliver exceptional food and beverage services.

Key Responsibilities

• Report to work promptly, dressed in the designated uniform with proper name badge and palm pin.
• Collect and transport necessary supplies for event setups efficiently.
• Perform and complete side duties as per checklist requirements.
• Notify management of any deviations from established standards and procedures.
• Maintain all operational equipment in good working condition.
• Ensure safety, cleanliness, and security of service and storage areas.
• Report any complaints, incidents, or irregular events to management immediately.
• Contribute to workflow simplification and support necessary operational changes.
• Maintain punctuality at all times.
• Ensure guests receive appropriate attention and courteous service.
• Exhibit professional conduct towards colleagues, supervisors, and management.
• Address guests’ needs, complaints, and onsite requests courteously and efficiently.
• Set up and dismantle function rooms including table arrangements according to standards.
• Execute cashiering and beverage dispensing duties assigned by banquet management.
• Adhere strictly to all hotel and departmental policies and procedures.
• Deliver food and beverage services at high standards consistent with departmental guidelines.
• Communicate guest feedback, challenges, and relevant information promptly to superiors.
• Maintain positive and effective relationships with fellow employees.
• Possess comprehensive knowledge of all food & beverage outlets, hotel amenities, and operating hours that influence the area of responsibility.
• Assist other food & beverage outlets during peak periods as needed.
• Undertake any additional tasks assigned by hotel management.

Qualifications and Skills

• Basic proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Always present a neat and professional appearance.
• Strong communication and customer interaction capabilities with effective problem-solving skills.
• Fundamental understanding of food and beverage products.
• Good interpersonal skills combined with self-confidence.
• Service-minded and attentive to quality to enhance guest satisfaction.
• Team-oriented attitude with keen attention to detail.

Additional Information

• Previous relevant experience is advantageous.
• Familiarity with related operational systems is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and problem-resolving abilities are beneficial.
• Fluency in Arabic and English is required; knowledge of other languages is an advantage.
