VMC Programmer

Job Overview

Seeking an experienced Manual VMC Programmer to join a valve manufacturing and fasteners production company in Chennai. The candidate will be responsible for preparing, editing, and optimizing VMC programs directly at the machine's control panel, ensuring quality outputs and smooth production processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and modify manual VMC programs using G & M coding for VMC turning machines.
• Interpret engineering blueprints and machining specifications accurately.
• Select appropriate tools, set tool offsets, and conduct program prove-outs.
• Assist VMC operators during machine setup and production runs to ensure efficiency.
• Ensure first-piece approval and uphold production quality standards.
• Follow established safety, quality, and operational protocols consistently.

Required Skills & Knowledge

• Hands-on expertise in manual VMC programming.
• Familiarity with Fanuc and Siemens machine control systems, with preference for Siemens.
• Strong understanding of machining methods and cutting parameters.
• Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and measurement tools.
• Ability to multitask and work independently under production pressures.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• ITI candidates with relevant manual VMC programming experience will also be considered.
• 5 to 12 years of proven experience in manual VMC programming within production environments.
