About the Company
This opportunity is with a globally celebrated luxury fashion and lifestyle brand, renowned for its distinctive designs, superior products, and elevated customer service. The company has a well-established presence worldwide and is expanding its footprint across Australia, offering excellent career progression for motivated retail leaders.
Role Overview
Located at the Chatswood store, you will spearhead the Visual Merchandising function within a large retail environment. Following recent structural changes that divided assistant store management into operations and visual leadership, this role is dedicated to the latter. Your primary responsibility will be implementing the brand’s global visual strategy, upholding exceptional in-store presentation standards, and working closely alongside Operations leadership to optimize store appearance and functionality. You will guide and grow a Visual Lead, fostering close collaboration across the broader store leadership team. Note, your focus will be on execution and delivery rather than originating visual strategies.
Responsibilities
- Implement the brand’s global visual merchandising guidelines throughout the store.
- Maintain high standards of visual presentation and product displays.
- Effectively translate global visual directives into practical store execution.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Visual team including the Visual Lead.
- Coordinate with Operations leaders to prioritize tasks and manage workloads.
- Collaborate with Sales and Service teams to enhance the customer experience.
- Utilize sales data and product performance insights to guide visual merchandising decisions.
- Ensure consistent merchandising and store standards across all areas.
- Adjust visual merchandising activities in response to evolving business demands.
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience managing visual merchandising in luxury or premium retail environments.
- Excellent attention to detail with a strong aptitude for product and store presentation.
- Confidence and capability in executing directives from global or corporate visual teams.
- Demonstrated experience in leadership, team coaching, and development.
- Strong organizational skills with the capacity to juggle multiple priorities effectively.
- A commercial outlook with an understanding of how visual strategies support sales objectives.
- Comfortable working collaboratively with Operations and Sales & Service leadership groups.
- Willingness to work flexible retail leadership hours including weekends, early mornings, and occasional late shifts.
Benefits and Opportunities
- Exclusive ownership of visual leadership in a significant retail location.
- Exposure to and experience with global brand standards and visual merchandising techniques.
- Opportunities to develop leadership skills managing a dedicated visual team.
- A highly collaborative work environment partnering with various leadership functions.
- Chance for professional growth in a globally expanding retail company within Australia.
- Competitive remuneration package ranging from $78,000 to $82,000 plus superannuation.
