Job description
Position Overview
The Visual Merchandiser plays a crucial role in enhancing the guest experience by crafting and maintaining appealing visual displays that align with company standards to boost sales and inspire shoppers. Responsibilities include advanced merchandising techniques, mannequin styling, floor mapping, fixture placement, and managing In-Store Marketing (ISM) elements.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan daily and weekly visual merchandising tasks in alignment with sales objectives, special events, and promotions under leadership guidance.
- Conduct weekly evaluations of visual presentations and collaborate with store leaders to elevate overall store visuals and guest engagement.
- Ensure consistent implementation of visual standards and ISM elements throughout the store to maintain an inviting and impactful shopping environment.
- Set and adjust lighting and spotlights to highlight featured merchandise effectively.
- Address and resolve merchandising challenges to sustain inspiring display setups, following leader input.
- Support team onboarding, continuous skill development, and knowledge enhancement through training and hands-on leadership.
- Maintain backroom organization and ensure all signage and fixture tools are current and properly utilized.
- Greet guests warmly during daily tasks and assist them with their needs, fostering a welcoming atmosphere.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols, ethical standards, and compliance regulations at all times.
- Utilize various communication devices and equipment efficiently, including handheld scanners and pallet jacks.
- Perform additional duties as business demands dictate.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of 1 to 2 years experience in visual merchandising.
- At least 18 years old.
- Strong business knowledge, including understanding of profitability and margins.
- Creativity and a keen eye for trends and styles that represent the brand.
- Leadership capabilities to influence and guide store teams toward adherence to visual merchandising processes.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks independently and prioritize workload effectively.
- Strong communication skills and a helpful, welcoming attitude toward guests and coworkers.
- Capability to work effectively in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
- Physical requirements include lifting merchandise up to 15 pounds frequently and up to 44 pounds occasionally without assistance, climbing ladders, and operating warehouse equipment safely.
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, holidays, and fluctuating hours as needed.
Additional Information
The hourly starting pay for this role ranges from $22.00 to $24.00, with a full pay range extending to $37.40 per hour, based on factors such as labor market conditions, education, experience, and certifications. Applicants must be able to access all store areas to assist guests and team members promptly. Responsible operation of work assist vehicles and pallet jacks is required.
