The Internal Audit Department (IAD) specializes in governance and control, offering independent evaluations of GIC's governance, risk management, and internal control frameworks to the Board of Directors, audit committee, and senior management.

Role Overview

The VP, IT Audit will deliver assurance and advisory services across technology, information security, and cybersecurity risk domains throughout the enterprise. This role involves conducting technology reviews within IAD and advancing assurance, advisory, and proactive monitoring initiatives across all technology areas. Continuous enhancement of IAD's methodologies, practices, and capabilities is also a key responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct audits covering technology infrastructure, applications, cloud platforms, as well as information and cybersecurity processes.
• Assess system controls that support business operations during integrated audits.
• Design and maintain innovative IT audit programs and testing approaches, utilizing data science and analytics.
• Identify control deficiencies and suggest actionable remediation measures to mitigate risks.
• Engage senior stakeholders to secure agreement on audit concerns and recommendations; prepare audit findings and reports.
• Provide thorough and organized documentation of audit procedures and results.
• Continuously monitor emerging risks through ongoing assessment and stakeholder interaction; update audit plans and scopes accordingly.
• Benchmark audit practices against leading market standards and suggest process and methodological enhancements.
• Foster collaborative relationships with stakeholders to strengthen organizational controls via advisory and partnership efforts.
• Support development and implementation of continuous auditing initiatives within IAD.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• A relevant degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent from a respected institution, plus professional certifications such as CISA, CISSP, or CISM.
• Minimum of 12 years of experience in IT audit, IT risk management, or control roles, preferably within internal audit functions in the banking and finance sector. Candidates with substantial security experience in cloud, infrastructure (e.g., network, system, database), and cybersecurity (such as platform administrators or engineers) aiming for a technology audit career are also welcome.
• Proven ability in using data analytics and visualization tools.
• Experienced in managing audit fieldwork, issue documentation, and reporting.
• Expertise in reviewing technology domains including infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, cloud technology, governance, and horizontal IT processes.
• Good understanding of emerging technology risks and trends, with ability to rapidly acquire knowledge in new technology areas.
• Self-driven, independent thinker while demonstrating strong teamwork capabilities.
• Excellent analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage and network effectively with stakeholders at various levels.
