The Infrastructure & Cybersecurity Resilience (ICR) team is tasked with developing and safeguarding the technological framework essential for GIC's worldwide investment operations. The team strives to build infrastructure that is resilient, scalable, and secure to enhance the performance and security of GIC's people and businesses.

Role Impact and Responsibilities

As Vice President in Cyber Security Engineering specializing in Data Security and Protection, you will play a pivotal role in shaping strategies and delivering innovative technology solutions that align with GIC's ambition of being a tech-forward, global long-term investment firm.

  • Evaluate and suggest enhancements to the present enterprise security architecture to effectively mitigate evolving cyber threats.
  • Balance and align business needs with cybersecurity and information technology requirements based on organizational risk tolerance.
  • Conduct evaluations, proofs of concept, and build & deploy enterprise-scale cybersecurity systems.
  • Create integrated security operation models and documentation to ensure operations are efficient, scalable, and sustainable.
  • Serve as a domain expert and trusted advisor in cybersecurity and resilience, collaborating closely with Technology Group and other business units on related engineering issues.

Candidate Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years relevant experience, ideally within financial services or asset management sectors, including at least 7 years specifically in Cyber Security or Information Security.
  • Practical expertise implementing and managing data security solutions addressing both structured and unstructured data, including:
    • Data discovery, classification, and labeling
    • Encryption, masking, tokenization of data
    • Data Loss Prevention systems
    • Enterprise and Information Rights Management solutions
    • Privacy enhancing technologies and confidential computing
    • Key and certificate management techniques
    • Hardware Security Modules (HSM)
    • Access control mechanisms
    • Secure file transfer protocols and safeguarded data storage, including SaaS platforms
  • Experience with cloud-based security and data protection across platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
  • Programming and scripting proficiency in languages like Java, Python, and C#, alongside solid knowledge of REST APIs and JSON.
  • Knowledge of additional cybersecurity technologies such as SIEM, threat intelligence, security incident response, forensic investigations, and endpoint/network protection is advantageous.
  • Strong ability to generate comprehensive documentation, including detailed design diagrams and workflow processes.
  • Meticulous, adaptable, inquisitive mindset combined with keen attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and excellent problem-solving capabilities.
  • Eagerness to learn and collaborate in a diverse environment, interacting across multiple teams to support strategic initiatives; excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential.
