Job description

Overview

An expanding international data center platform headquartered in Singapore is seeking a Vice President of Human Resources to spearhead its people operations as it grows across Southeast Asia markets including Malaysia, Thailand, and Indonesia.

Key Responsibilities

The role demands ownership of the entire HR function to support rapid international expansion. This includes shaping organisational design, overseeing talent acquisition, leading leadership development initiatives, managing performance systems, driving employee engagement, handling compensation, managing mobility programs, and establishing regional human resources governance mechanisms. The successful candidate will create scalable HR structures while being actively involved in resolving practical challenges arising in a fast-growth multi-jurisdiction environment.

Managing the complexities of a diverse international workforce is pivotal, requiring coordination across Singapore and the wider SEA region, administration of cross-border employment arrangements, expatriate and relocation policies, and strategies to attract and retain talent from global technology firms and the regional infrastructure sector.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should have over 15 years of professional experience with a minimum of 5 years in a VP or Head of HR capacity, responsible for full HR functions rather than limited specialist roles. Experience within data centers, critical infrastructure, large-scale real estate, or comparably complex capital-intensive businesses is highly advantageous, particularly with a background in designing organisations to support swift international scale.

Proficiency operating at both strategic levels with executive leadership and board members, as well as engaging in operational detail in HR function development, is essential. Prior experience working in both Western and Asia-Pacific regions and the ability to navigate a fast-evolving, culturally varied organisational environment is required.

Opportunity

This senior role represents a chance to shape the human capital framework supporting a rapidly expanding data center platform in the Asia-Pacific region at a critical stage of growth.
