Role Overview

In pursuit of competitive advantage through AI and machine learning adoption, MIC has formed an AI Enablement Unit to strategize and integrate AI into its operations. As part of this initiative, MIC’s AI Enablement Team is assembling an AI Product team dedicated to building and managing generative AI and Machine Learning solutions that generate value for the business and corporate functions.

This leadership role will guide the AI Product team through significant transformation, focusing on deploying and sustaining AI products to address practical business challenges. The scope includes embedding AI capabilities within corporate platforms such as Human Capital, Legal, Finance, and Communications, working collaboratively with internal technical teams on solution deployment, sprint planning, training, and change management.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and oversee AI product strategy and roadmap, aligning with business goals and prioritizing use cases with measurable ROI and objectives.
• Design scalable AI architectures and standardize solutions including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), agents, and APIs across business platforms.
• Establish data contracts ensuring governance, lineage, privacy controls, and quality in partnership with data engineering teams.
• Manage the full model lifecycle and MLOps processes including continuous integration/delivery, experimentation tracking, evaluations, A/B testing, and rollback procedures.
• Lead agile execution through intake management, sprint planning, dependency coordination, and adherence to delivery service levels.
• Ensure responsible and secure AI deployment with safety measures, bias mitigation, privacy compliance, legal reviews, guardrails, and human-in-the-loop mechanisms.
• Collaborate with the AI transformation team to enable change through publishing playbooks, conducting training sessions, monitoring adoption, and tracking skill enhancement.
• Define and monitor performance metrics such as accuracy, cycle time, user adoption, and financial impact; iteratively refine targets.
• Govern build vs. buy decisions including vendor evaluation, contract negotiation, cost management, and interoperability or exit strategy formulation.
• Foster strong stakeholder alignment by collaborating with AI strategy and transformation teams, engaging executive sponsors and platform leads, running steering committees, and managing delivery risks.

Required Experience and Skills

• Minimum five years leading AI product teams focused on enterprise AI, machine learning, and generative AI solutions from inception to adoption.
• Proven ability to translate business priorities into scalable AI product strategies and manage substantial product budgets.
• In-depth knowledge of the AI product lifecycle and experience collaborating with engineering, data science, and technology teams, preferably in agile settings.
• Hands-on familiarity with large language models (LLMs), RAG, agentic AI, data engineering, and deployment in cloud and on-premise environments.
• Strong command of MLOps practices including continuous integration/continuous deployment, model registry management, evaluation frameworks, monitoring, and rollback strategies.
• Experience incorporating governance, security measures, and Responsible AI principles throughout AI product development, including privacy controls, model risk management, human-in-the-loop processes, and audit trails.
• Demonstrated skill in promoting AI adoption within complex enterprise contexts by developing enablement programs and supporting non-technical stakeholders.
• Excellent stakeholder management capabilities, including engaging senior executives with clear metrics and narratives on AI product impact.
• Experienced in making build-versus-buy decisions and managing external vendor relationships with attention to costs and commercial viability.
• Strong problem-solving skills to distill complex business challenges into actionable AI-driven solutions and translate technical concepts for business audiences.
• Leadership capabilities to motivate teams, uphold business ethics, and encourage innovation and continuous improvement.
• Outstanding communication and collaboration skills with ability to influence across levels and build partnerships internally and externally.
• Curious and critical thinker with a bold and analytical approach to solving ambiguous or high-impact problems using AI and advanced analytics.
