Vehicle Technician

Overview

Working Hours and Location

• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 45 hours per week
• Saturday work: Only one in four Saturdays

Compensation

The salary can go up to 42,000 annually with a bonus structure raising on-target earnings (OTE) to 50,000; earnings are uncapped.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out thorough vehicle servicing, repairs, and maintenance tasks ensuring high-quality workmanship
• Effectively diagnose vehicle faults and perform accurate inspections of critical components
• Provide technical advice professionally to customers when needed
• Deliver exceptional customer service to foster trust and encourage repeat business
• Collaborate effectively with reception and workshop teams to ensure seamless operations
• Mentor and support fellow Vehicle Technicians by sharing expertise and knowledge

Candidate Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent qualification
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving capabilities
• Attention to detail with an ability to meet set efficiency standards
• Excellent communication skills with a team-oriented approach
• Possession of a valid UK driving licence
• Holding an MOT licence is preferable but not mandatory
