Vehicle Technician (Vans)

About the Role

Our client is a leading UK vehicle hire and fleet management company seeking experienced Vehicle Technicians to join multiple locations nationwide. This position predominantly involves servicing, maintaining, and repairing light commercial vehicles (LCVs) and vans to ensure fleet efficiency and safety for a broad clientele.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform servicing, maintenance, and repairs on vans and LCVs
• Utilize modern diagnostic tools to identify vehicle faults
• Prepare vehicles for MOT and conduct thorough inspections
• Complete all tasks adhering to manufacturer specifications and quality standards
• Accurately record job details, service logs, and ensure regulatory compliance documentation
• Work diligently to achieve set productivity and workshop goals
• Keep the work area clean, safe, and well-organized

Requirements

• A Level 3 NVQ or City & Guilds qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair is preferred
• Demonstrable experience as a Vehicle Technician, Mechanic, or LCV Technician
• Strong diagnostic capabilities and effective fault-finding skills
• Previous exposure to van or commercial vehicle work is highly advantageous
• Possession of a full UK driving license
• Capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
