About the Role
Our client is a prominent fleet management and vehicle hire company in the UK, seeking experienced Vehicle Technicians to support their expanding team at various locations nationwide. The primary focus of this position is on the servicing, maintenance, and repair of light commercial vehicles (LCVs) and vans, ensuring they remain reliable and safe for a diverse customer base.
This permanent full-time role, based in Bolton, offers structured working hours and provides scope for career advancement within an established organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform servicing, repair work, and maintenance tasks on vans and a range of light commercial vehicles.
- Use advanced diagnostic tools to identify mechanical faults effectively.
- Prepare vehicles for MOT testing and conduct thorough inspections.
- Adhere strictly to manufacturer standards and guidelines to ensure high-quality workmanship.
- Accurately document service records, job cards, and compliance forms.
- Manage workload efficiently to achieve workshop productivity and target goals.
- Keep the workplace safe, tidy, and well-organized at all times.
Qualifications and Experience
- Preferred: Level 3 NVQ or City & Guilds certification in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
- Demonstrated experience as a Vehicle Technician, Mechanic, or LCV Technician.
- Strong proficiency in fault diagnosis and troubleshooting.
- Experience specifically with vans or commercial vehicles is highly advantageous.
- Possession of a full UK driving licence.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a team.

- Competitive base salary of A336,720 with total on-target earnings up to A343,160 including bonuses and overtime.
