About the Role
A well-established automotive accident repair and bodyshop company in Cambridge is seeking a skilled Panel Technician / Panel Beater to join their busy team. The candidate will specialize in repairing and restoring vehicle bodies, performing crash repairs on various vehicle types to restore them to their pre-accident condition. This position offers a steady workload and an uncapped bonus scheme to enhance earning potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform panel repairs and replacements on different vehicles.
- Conduct automotive body repairs including crash damage restoration.
- Repair or substitute full panels and quarter panels as needed.
- Carry out welding, jig work, and structural repairs.
- Manage tasks from vehicle strip down to final repair completion.
- Ensure repairs comply with manufacturer’s quality standards.
- Maintain comprehensive job records and contribute to workshop efficiency.
Candidate Profile
- Experienced as a Panel Technician, Panel Beater, or Bodyshop Technician.
- Strong expertise in accident damage repair and vehicle body restoration.
- Proficient in welding, jig work, and replacing panels.
- Capable of working independently in a dynamic and fast-paced workshop setting.
- Excellent attention to detail ensuring high-quality workmanship.
- Holdings such as ATA or NVQ in Vehicle Body Repair are advantageous but not mandatory.
