Job description
Overview
We are recruiting a Vehicle Technician who is Level 3 qualified to join one of the UK's most prominent automotive fleet companies. This permanent, full-time position is based in Guildford, England, offering a competitive salary with additional bonus and overtime opportunities.
Job Responsibilities
- Carry out comprehensive inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on various vehicles, trailers, and mechanical equipment.
- Use your personal toolkit to perform routine maintenance and repair duties on light and heavy goods vehicles.
- Utilize specialist tools and shared equipment available within modern, fully equipped workshops.
Requirements
- Must hold NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or an equivalent IMI/City & Guilds certification.
- Practical workshop experience as a mechanic or technician, preferably within a franchised dealership setting.
- Right to work in the UK and possession of a full UK driving licence.
Working Conditions
- 39.5 working hours per week excluding meal breaks.
- Shift patterns include 6am to 2pm, 10:30am to 7pm, with Saturdays worked on a one-in-three rotation basis.
Compensation and Benefits
- Basic salary of £40,906 per annum, with bonus and overtime potential bringing on-target earnings up to £65,000 annually.
- 22.5 days of annual leave upon entry, plus bank holidays and the option to purchase additional leave, which increases with tenure.
