Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled Vehicle Prepper to join our team in Dublin. The role involves preparing vehicles, post-panel beating repairs, to ensure surfaces are perfectly prepped and primed ahead of painting. This preparation is vital for achieving a flawless paint finish applied by our spray painters.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and repair vehicle bodies following collision damage to prepare for priming and painting.
• Apply primer evenly to repaired areas, readying surfaces for paint.
• Execute sanding, masking, and other surface preparation tasks to achieve a smooth finish.
• Utilise seam sealer and other waterproofing techniques to ensure seamless repairs.
• Maintain vehicles in a clean, masked, and spray-gun-ready condition for painters.
• Work closely with panel beaters and spray painters to ensure an efficient workflow and uphold quality standards.
• Keep the work environment clean and organized, meeting health and safety requirements.
• Oversee prepping supplies and equipment, including inventory management and restocking as needed.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience as a Vehicle Prepper within a professional auto body shop setting.
• Thorough understanding of vehicle body repair and surface preparation techniques.
• Experience applying seam sealer and waterproofing materials is mandatory.
• Proficiency with tools and equipment involved in vehicle surface preparation.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on achieving high-quality finishes.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
• Good communication and organizational capabilities.
