Overview

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Valeter to join our Motorstore team located in Wakefield. This role involves maintaining vehicles in outstanding condition to support our sales operations.

Working Hours

Full-time schedule: Monday to Thursday from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, and alternate Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

Role Responsibilities

• Ensure all sold and stock vehicles are thoroughly cleaned and polished to a high standard
• Perform external cleaning using high-pressure washers
• Utilize high-powered vacuum cleaners and shampoo vehicle interiors
• Operate polishing and buffing machinery to enhance vehicle appearance
• Adhere strictly to health and safety guidelines, especially when handling chemicals
• Maintain and secure all cleaning equipment, report any faults, and follow manufacturer's recommendations and personal protective equipment (PPE) protocols
• Meet designated timeframes and performance targets
• Manage vehicle cleaning schedules using an online diary system
• Record daily work activities comprehensively
• Assist with additional duties to support branch operations as needed

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Possession of a valid UK driving license
• Fundamental computer literacy
• Strong attention to detail with a high standard of quality
• Self-driven with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
• Capacity to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Open to participating in training sessions to enhance skills

Previous valet experience is desirable but not mandatory; comprehensive training and participation in the company's Valet Academy will be provided to enthusiastic candidates meeting the essential criteria.
