About the Role

We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Valeter to join our team at the Oldbury Motorstore. The ideal candidate will take pride in presenting vehicles in pristine condition through thorough cleaning and detailing.

Key Responsibilities

• Cleaning sold and stock vehicles meticulously to ensure high standards.
• Using powerful pressure washers for exterior vehicle cleaning.
• Employing high-powered vacuums and shampoos for interior upkeep.
• Operating polishing and buffing equipment to enhance vehicle bodywork finish.
• Following health and safety protocols when handling chemical products.
• Maintaining and securing machinery and equipment, reporting issues promptly, and adhering to manufacturer guidelines and PPE requirements.
• Meeting set time targets and deadlines effectively.
• Managing vehicle cleaning schedules using an online diary system.
• Keeping daily records of work performed.
• Providing additional support duties to assist branch operations when necessary.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Possession of a valid full UK driving licence.
• Basic proficiency with computers.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Self-driven and able to collaborate well within a team environment.
• Skilled at handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Open to undergoing training programs.

Previous valet experience is advantageous but not mandatory as training opportunities exist for enthusiastic candidates meeting other criteria. All new valeters are enrolled in the Arnold Clark Valet Academy.

Working Hours and Benefits

• Full-time schedule: Monday to Thursday from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, and alternate Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
