This position is based at Itawamba Community College - Fulton Campus, with work shifts available across any time, granting open availability. Details on specific shifts will be shared during interviews.

This is a full-time role offering an hourly wage ranging from $11 to $13.

About the Role

As a Utility Worker with Sodexo, you will be instrumental in supporting the kitchen and facility operations. Your duties will focus on maintaining cleanliness and sanitation throughout food production and service areas. Tasks include cleaning various equipment, utensils, floors, walls, and storage areas alongside transporting and maintaining supplies, and assisting with setup and cleanup as needed. Job duties can vary depending on client needs and business demands.

Primary Responsibilities

• Hand-washing dishes or operating dishwashing machines.
• Cleaning and sanitizing work surfaces, walls, refrigerators, and meat cutting blocks.
• Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and overall floor maintenance.
• Removing trash and waste to designated disposal areas.
• Using specialized chemicals for cleaning equipment to uphold sanitary standards.
• Restocking supplies such as soap, paper towels, and cleaning agents.
• Physical mobility involving significant walking and endurance to stand or walk throughout shifts, sometimes exceeding eight hours.
• Performing physical actions including reaching, bending, stooping, pushing or pulling, frequently lifting up to 35 pounds and occasionally lifting or moving items up to 50 pounds.
• Consistent punctuality and attendance for scheduled shifts.
• Additional duties as assigned, varying by account and operational requirements.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience is required.
• No prior experience is necessary for this role.
• Basic understanding of sanitation procedures and food safety concepts is expected.
