Utility Worker

About the Role

Join Sodexo as a Utility Worker at the META location in Redmond, WA, supporting kitchen and facility operations. This full-time role involves maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and the overall organization within food production and service areas. The position includes tasks such as cleaning equipment and utensils, sanitizing workspaces, handling waste disposal, and assisting with setup and breakdown activities as assigned. This role involves physical activity requiring mobility, standing or walking for extended periods, and frequent lifting.

Key Responsibilities

• Hand wash or operate dishwashing equipment to clean dishes.
• Sanitize worktables, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks thoroughly.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floor cleanliness.
• Properly remove and dispose of trash and garbage to designated locations.
• Use specific cleaning chemicals for equipment disinfection in accordance with sanitary standards.
• Restock supplies including soap, paper towels, and cleaning materials.
• Perform physically demanding tasks such as walking and standing for long durations, reaching, bending, stooping, pushing/pulling, and lifting items up to 35 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Be punctual and reliable for scheduled shifts and maintain consistent attendance.
• Be prepared to undertake other duties that vary depending on client needs and business requirements.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Possess a High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• No prior work experience necessary.
• Basic understanding of sanitation practices and food safety principles.

Work Schedule and Compensation

This position typically requires morning shifts on weekdays. Detailed shift information will be communicated during the interview. The hourly wage is $22.50.
