Utility Worker

Job Overview

Located in Mesa, AZ, this full-time Utility Worker role is part of Sodexo's team, focusing on sustaining kitchen and facility hygiene as well as assisting with the setup and breakdown of food service areas during weekday morning shifts. Compensation ranges between $18 and $20 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

• Wash dishes manually or operate dishwashing machines efficiently.
• Thoroughly clean and sanitize worktables, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks ensuring food safety compliance.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain cleanliness of floors.
• Manage waste by removing trash and disposing of garbage in designated locations properly.
• Use specific chemical agents to clean equipment following sanitary standards.
• Restock consumable supplies including soap, paper towels, and cleaning products to maintain readiness.
• Maintain physical mobility throughout shifts by walking or standing, sometimes for more than 8 hours.
• Perform physical activities involving reaching, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling and lifting up to 35 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Attend work punctually and with consistent reliability.
• Undertake additional duties as assigned based on business needs and client requirements.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Possess a High School diploma, GED, or comparable experience.
• No previous work experience required for this position.
• Familiarity with sanitation protocols and fundamental principles of food safety is advantageous.
