Utility Technician

Job Overview

The Utility Technician role involves carrying out routine maintenance tasks across diverse work settings. The technician is expected to perform preventive maintenance to boost operational efficiency and minimize the necessity for significant repairs.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a tidy work environment and adhere strictly to company safety guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Identify and halt hazardous behaviors in oneself and colleagues.
• Comply with established safety standards and use personal protective equipment as appropriate.
• Conduct inspections and repairs on fleet vehicles, troubleshoot issues with power tools, or replace defective parts on production machinery.
• Examine work processes to ensure that projects are completed accurately and to the expected standard.
• Follow supervisory instructions and collaborate effectively with team members to accomplish assigned tasks.
• Demonstrate understanding of customer service principles and strive to maintain customer satisfaction.
• Operate equipment such as Boom Lift or Highlift for tasks including high-rise window cleaning, dusting, cleaning stainless steel and frames, and light cleaning duties.
• Perform any additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• Preferred education: high school diploma or GED.
• Preferred experience: at least six months working in a company environment or equivalent practical experience.
• Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle record.
• Forklift certification may be required.
• Completion of all safety and job-specific training certifications is necessary.

Physical Requirements & Work Conditions

• The position requires frequent sitting and verbal communication.
• Ability to lift or move items weighing up to 35 pounds is essential.

Working Schedule & Compensation

• Workdays are Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
• Hourly wage ranges between $17 and $18.
