Job Overview
The Customer Service Representative (CSR) Lead will oversee the cleanliness and sanitation of designated areas, providing direction to custodial personnel as necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out janitorial duties according to assigned schedules.
- Offer guidance and support to custodial staff under the direction of the Custodial Supervisor.
- Assist with staff scheduling and training initiatives.
- Operate motorized cleaning machinery.
- Manage inventory, maintenance, and repair of equipment.
- Organize necessary cleaning and repair activities.
- Maintain daily cleanliness of assigned spaces.
- Track and maintain supply inventory.
- Support purchasing processes for cleaning supplies and tools.
- Carry out quality control, service, and safety checks.
- Report hazardous conditions and incidents to supervisors promptly.
- Address employee and customer issues by reporting to supervisors.
- Ensure employees comply with personal protective equipment protocols and supply usage.
- Identify and correct at-risk behaviors, informing supervisors accordingly.
- Propose improvements for operational effectiveness.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- 1 to 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
- CPR/AED/First Aid certification required.
- Valid driver’s license may be necessary.
- Completion of all safety and task-specific training certifications.
- Forklift certification may be required.
Skills and Knowledge
- Ability to comprehend and follow instructions, manuals, and procedures.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Understanding of cleaning techniques, equipment maintenance, and chemical safety.
- Willingness to share cleaning knowledge with the team.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
- Ability to sit, talk, and listen regularly during work.
- Must be capable of lifting and moving objects weighing up to 35 pounds.
Schedule and Compensation
- Work hours: 10:00 pm to 6:30 am, Thursday through Monday.
- Pay rate: $17 to $18 per hour.
