About the Role
We are looking for a creative and user-centric ServiceNow UI/UX Consultant who possesses a thorough understanding of user-centered design and ServiceNow user experiences. This position demands bridging the gap between business requirements, user expectations, and platform possibilities to craft intuitive, accessible, and engaging digital experiences across the ServiceNow environment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Design and improve user interfaces across various ServiceNow platforms such as Employee Center, Service Portal, Workspaces, Catalogs, Knowledge Management, and bespoke applications.
- Partner with business stakeholders, product owners, and end users to collect requirements and comprehend user journeys, challenges, and usability issues.
- Develop wireframes, user flows, prototypes, journey maps, and design mock-ups that meet business goals and align with platform standards.
- Configure and fine-tune ServiceNow UIs using tools and frameworks including UI Builder, Employee Center, Service Portal, Workspaces, and Next Experience features.
- Maintain consistency in design elements, branding, navigational structures, and user interactions across the platform.
- Organize usability assessments, user testing, and design validation processes to ensure continuous enhancement of user experience.
- Collaborate closely with technical consultants and development teams to verify designs are practical, scalable, and conform to ServiceNow best practices.
- Support adherence to accessibility guidelines, responsive design, and performance expectations in line with organizational and industry standards.
- Participate in design governance, contribute to style guides, and uphold UX standards within enterprise-level ServiceNow deployments.
- Keep up-to-date with advancements in the ServiceNow platform, UX trends, and novel design methodologies.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Experience ranging from 1 to 5 years in UI/UX design, digital experience design, or roles focused on ServiceNow experience design.
- Proven skills in designing user experiences specifically for ServiceNow platforms such as Employee Center, Service Portal, Workspaces, or custom apps.
- Comprehensive knowledge of user-centered design processes, information architecture, usability principles, and interaction design techniques.
- Competency in creating wireframes, prototypes, user journey maps, and high-fidelity designs with tools like Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or equivalent.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow's UI Builder, Next Experience framework, Workspaces, Employee Center, and Service Portal functionalities.
- Understanding of accessibility standards, responsive and mobile-first design principles.
- Ability to work collaboratively in Agile teams with business stakeholders, product owners, developers, and architects.
- Strong communication and presentation capabilities, capable of articulating design rationales and securing stakeholder buy-in.
- Possession of a Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline is mandatory; certifications like ServiceNow CSA and UX-related qualifications are advantageous.
