Job description
About the Role
This role involves working within established protocols, authority limits, and service standards. Precision, collaborative teamwork, and effective communication with both internal and external parties are crucial to achieve team production goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare underwriting submissions exceeding delegated authority using GenNext system.
- Support underwriters by following up with producers regarding pending policy data required for issuance.
- Analyze and review census and data submissions from producers for policy issuance and billing purposes.
- Address queries from producers related to issued policies and billing matters.
- Manage daily administrative underwriting duties such as acknowledging producer instructions for policy changes, additional trips, and amendments to active policies.
- Endorse policies where applicable.
- Assist underwriters in underwriting and quoting policies/accounts as part of professional development.
- Maintain departmental trackers and logs diligently.
- Support underwriters with credit control administrative tasks.
- Participate in ad-hoc projects, including user acceptance testing for system and product enhancements, and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum educational qualification: Diploma or Degree in any field.
- Possession of BCP and PGI certifications is mandatory.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Ideally, 1 to 2 years of experience in the insurance sector; however, fresh graduates holding a Diploma or Degree will be considered.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- A meticulous, self-driven team player attribute is essential.
