Underwriter Surety

Your Tasks

• Managing new and existing corporate clients within the surety insurance domain, including guarantees and bonds, in Germany.
• Preparing underwriting decisions by assessing companies' creditworthiness through financial ratio analysis.
• Making underwriting decisions according to level of seniority.
• Maintaining direct communication and relationships with brokers and customers.
• Collaborating closely with internal departments such as Accounting, Legal, and Pricing.
• Analyzing large projects and policy wordings.
• Participating in initiatives aimed at advancing the insurance division.
• Contributing actively to portfolio development.
• Assisting with internal reporting tasks.

Your Profile

• Completed education or degree in business administration, finance, banking, insurance, mathematics, or a related field.
• Practical experience in surety insurance, guarantees, or bonds within the German market, which is crucial for determining seniority level.
• Strong numerical aptitude and thorough knowledge of corporate financial analysis.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency with common IT systems.
• Fluency in German at a C2 level; English language skills are desirable and additional foreign languages are beneficial.
