UKG Pro Consultant

Job Summary

We seek an experienced UKG Pro Consultant skilled in implementing, configuring, supporting, and enhancing UKG Pro Human Capital Management (HCM) solutions. The consultant will possess functional expertise across UKG Pro HR, Payroll, Benefits, Time & Attendance, Reporting, and integrations. Working closely with business stakeholders, HR and payroll teams, as well as technical staff, the role involves gathering requirements, configuring the system, troubleshooting challenges, and ensuring successful deployments and improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement, configure, and provide ongoing support for UKG Pro HCM modules aligned with business needs.
• Collect and analyze requirements from HR, Payroll, Benefits, and related stakeholders.
• Convert business needs into functional configurations and effective system solutions.
• Set up UKG Pro modules including workflows, business rules, security settings, and employee data management.
• Administer UKG Pro Payroll workflows encompassing setup, calculations, deductions, taxes, and reconciliation.
• Manage functionality within HR, Benefits, Time & Attendance, and related UKG Pro areas.
• Create and maintain reports, dashboards, data extracts, and other critical reporting tools.
• Support integrations between UKG Pro and third-party software platforms.
• Diagnose and resolve system errors, integration failures, data inconsistencies, and configuration issues.
• Conduct thorough system testing such as unit, integration, regression testing, and assist in User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Develop functional specifications, configuration documentation, test cases, and user guides.
• Perform data validation, migration processes, reconciliation, and quality control checks.
• Collaborate with technical teams on APIs, interfaces, file-based integrations, and data exchange methods.
• Provide production support ensuring incidents are resolved within Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Participate in system upgrades, enhancements, patch deployments, and continuous improvement activities.
• Deliver end-user training and conduct knowledge transfer sessions for HR and Payroll teams.
• Effectively engage with clients and stakeholders within a consulting and client-facing capacity.

Required Skills and Experience

• 4 or more years of practical experience with UKG Pro (also known as UltiPro).
• In-depth knowledge of UKG Pro HCM functionalities and configuration capabilities.
• Hands-on exposure to one or more of these UKG Pro areas: HR, Payroll, Benefits, Time & Attendance, Reporting / Analytics, and System Integrations.
• Proven track record in UKG Pro implementation, configuration, enhancement, and production support.
• Solid understanding of HR and US payroll processes and regulations.
• Experience in gathering requirements and preparing functional documentation.
• Competence in system testing, troubleshooting issues, and resolving operational challenges.
• Familiarity with UKG Pro reporting features and data extract methods.
• Knowledge of technical integrations including APIs, web services, and file-based interface mechanisms.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively across teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing end-to-end UKG Pro implementation projects.
• Possession of UKG Pro certification is an advantage.
• Experience integrating UKG Pro with ERP systems, HRIS, benefits administration, finance, or other third-party applications.
• Knowledge about US federal and state payroll laws and compliance standards.
• Familiarity with UKG Pro business intelligence and reporting tools.
• Advanced skills in Excel and data analysis.
• Background in client-facing consulting engagements.
