About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated UK Study Abroad Counsellor to join our Chennai-based team at UniAcco. This role focuses on guiding prospective students and their families through the UK higher education admission procedures. It is a client-facing, target-oriented sales position that demands excellent communication, strong advisory skills, and a commitment to prioritizing student needs throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive counseling to students and parents regarding study opportunities in the UK, including universities, available courses, scholarship options, and entry requirements.
- Manage B2C enquiries via telephone, virtual meetings, and face-to-face counseling sessions to convert potential leads.
- Evaluate academic records, career goals, financial considerations, and preferences to recommend appropriate UK educational programs and institutions.
- Support students through the entirety of the UK application cycle—shortlisting universities, submitting applications, accepting offers, and assisting with preparations before departure.
- Develop and maintain strong rapport with students and parents through consistent and effective follow-ups.
- Meet monthly enrollment and revenue objectives while ensuring a high rate of lead conversion.
- Keep precise records of interactions and application status using CRM software.
- Continuously stay informed regarding changes in UK university admissions, visa policies, scholarships, and market dynamics.
Candidate Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience specifically in UK Study Abroad Counseling.
- In-depth understanding of UK universities, courses, admissions criteria, scholarship programs, and visa regulations.
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
- Confident, polished, and student-centric approach with excellent consultative selling, negotiation, objection handling, and closing capabilities.
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and Microsoft Office is considered an advantage.
- Applicants must be residing in Chennai.
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual salary ranging between ₹405,000 and ₹606,000.
