This role supports the Global Manager of Personal and Road Safety in scaling and executing safety strategies worldwide, combining strategic planning with hands-on program management to enhance safety for all platform users and foster trust through transparent, consistent practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and adapt personal and road safety improvements tailored to local market contexts while ensuring alignment with overarching global strategies.
- Examine safety data and trends across markets to pinpoint risks and convert findings into effective safety measures.
- Develop and execute focused safety initiatives aimed at reducing incidents and improving the safety experience of couriers and other users.
- Establish and maintain partnerships with external organizations such as NGOs, governmental bodies, and local authorities.
- Collaborate with Product, Support, Legal, Policy, and Operations teams to scale and integrate safety enhancements.
- Refine incident management systems and workflows to enhance their efficiency and scalability.
- Investigate safety incidents through detailed analysis to identify root causes and recommend preventive and responsive improvements.
- Assist in the dissemination of best practices and standards related to safety across different regions.
- Empower local teams by providing training, resources, and comprehensive playbooks focused on personal and road safety.
Candidate Profile
- Possess 4 to 6 years of professional experience in Operations, Strategy & Planning, Trust & Safety, Risk Management, or comparable areas, preferably within platform or gig economy contexts.
- Demonstrated interest or background in personal safety, road safety, or operational risk areas.
- Familiarity with tools such as Jira and Looker for data and project management.
- Strong analytical aptitude combined with the capability to convert insights into actionable operational improvements.
- Experienced in managing multiple programs and projects effectively.
- Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to manage diverse stakeholder relationships internally and externally.
- Adaptable and resilient in dynamic, fast-evolving work environments.
- Proven success in building or scaling operational frameworks, policies, or programs.
- Fluent in English and German in both oral and written communication; knowledge of additional languages (e.g., French, Greek) is advantageous.
