Job Purpose
The Treasury Accountant will be responsible for managing treasury-related plans and processes. This includes overseeing cash flow, funding, banking relationships, and financial risks to support business objectives, while adhering to policies, regulations, and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily cash management exercises following internal controls to determine accurate, timely cash positions.
- Ensure payment operations comply stringently with internal control procedures.
- Complete monthly accounting tasks and generate reports aligned with closing schedules and DP DHL policies, including adherence to IAS/IFRS and local accounting standards.
- Supervise accurate recording of bank and payment transactions in the general ledger.
- Distribute remittance advices electronically and post bank statements daily.
- Carry out cash and bank reconciliations effectively.
- Analyze and allocate balances in transitory accounts.
- Submit weekly payment proposals to relevant country teams.
- Process payments via bank portals and monitor unresolved payments.
- Promptly respond to queries from internal stakeholders and departments.
- Maintain organized physical and electronic treasury records and archives.
- Accurately compile and preserve Treasury information and documentation.
- Resolve escalated concerns efficiently and foster dependable cross-functional partnerships.
- Comply with established standards and processes such as MOM/GOM.
- Record daily cash transactions and prepare comprehensive reports on cash flow for daily, weekly, and monthly periods.
- Verify and process various payment types like cash, credit cards, and cheques, issuing receipts and logging transactions.
- Prepare and disburse payments to employees, customers, suppliers, or for authorized expenses or reimbursements.
- Contribute to special projects including stock option schemes, acquisitions, and annual financial statement preparations.
- Maintain bank deposits and reconcile cashbooks periodically.
- Provide administrative support for allocated treasury operations and transactions on a daily basis.

- Educational qualification: Professional credentials equivalent to ACCA Level 1 or degree in Accounting/Finance.
