Job Overview
This role focuses on the secure and reliable transportation of patients to various appointments, activity outings, airport transfers, and other special events, ensuring timely and safe travel.
Primary Duties
- Provide transport services for visitors and staff as per operational needs.
- Assist patients with their admission and discharge transportation requirements.
- Verify that every passenger is secured with a seatbelt before initiating vehicle movement.
- Operate company vehicles to collect necessary supplies or equipment.
- Adhere to scheduled 'on call' duties as assigned.
- Comprehensively complete transportation records and documentation.
- Keep vehicle logs updated and communicate any maintenance concerns to designated facility personnel.
- Ensure that all vehicles under company management are clean, maintained, and in good working order.
- Maintain a courteous, empathetic, and professional demeanor when interacting with customers; promptly address any concerns related to patient safety or service satisfaction.
Education and Experience
- A high school diploma or an equivalent qualification is necessary to qualify for this role.
Certifications and Licensing
- Possession of a current and valid State Driver's License is mandatory.
- Certification in CPR and training in de-escalation or restraint techniques is required; the organization provides these trainings upon employment.
- First aid certification may be necessary as per state regulations or organizational policies.
