Role Overview

We are seeking a full-time, on-site School Bus Driver based in Dubai to ensure the safe transportation of students to and from school and related events. The driver must adhere to designated routes and schedules, conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks, maintain cleanliness and orderliness inside the bus, and comply with traffic and safety standards. Additionally, the role involves supervising student behavior onboard, facilitating safe boarding and alighting, and maintaining communication with school staff and families regarding safety and transportation concerns. Required logs and reports must be accurately completed.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate the school bus on assigned routes and schedules.
• Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Maintain a clean and orderly bus environment at all times.
• Adhere strictly to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Supervise students during transit, promoting positive conduct and addressing routine behavior issues fairly.
• Ensure students board and disembark safely.
• Communicate effectively with school staff and families about transport-related matters.
• Complete all required documentation and reports related to bus operations and student safety.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Strong driving expertise with experience in truck driving and possession of a valid CDL Class B or equivalent heavy vehicle license.
• Demonstrated skills in defensive driving and a thorough understanding of local traffic safety rules.
• Proficient communication skills to interact clearly and calmly with students, parents, and school personnel.
• Excellent customer service skills to foster a supportive and respectful atmosphere.
• A clean driving record without major traffic violations; compliance with school and regulatory safety standards.
• Previous experience in school bus driving or student transportation preferred.
• Capability to manage children's behavior onboard in a fair, consistent manner.
• Basic proficiency in English; knowledge of additional local languages is beneficial.
• Physical fitness adequate for assisting students during boarding and disembarking.
• Familiarity with Dubai’s Dubailand and adjacent road networks is advantageous.
