Transportation Specialist

Overview

MANTECH is looking for dynamic Transportation Specialists to join their team in multiple locations including Hawaii, Guam, Australia, Japan, Korea, and the Philippines. This role involves extensive logistical planning and coordination to ensure smooth movement and delivery of equipment and supplies in diverse operational settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed analysis and execution of logistical operations to support equipment and supply transportation across various environments.
• Manage and maintain detailed databases to track assets and guarantee timely distribution to end-users.
• Authorize support documentation and collaborate with external suppliers to uphold supply chain integrity.
• Lead reception and staging processes at forward operational sites, ensuring efficient integration of new mission deployments.
• Prepare comprehensive movement manifests and synchronize the four phases of Reception, Staging, Onward Movement, and Integration (RSOI) to meet mission deadlines.
• Oversee local transportation services and carry out port surveys to establish the most efficient transit routes.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to junior team members.

Qualification Levels

• Senior Level: Requires a high school diploma plus 10 or more years of relevant experience; a relevant Bachelor's degree may reduce experience requirement by 2 years. Candidates should have experience in overseeing document control and maintaining quality gates.
• Mid Level: Requires a high school diploma plus at least 3 years of related experience; relevant Bachelor's degree may account for 2 years’ experience credit. Ability to prepare technical logistical documents is essential.
• Junior Level: Requires a high school diploma and basic knowledge of military logistics or transportation tracking systems along with foundational supply support understanding.

Preferred Credentials

• Certifications in Logistics or Supply Chain Management
• Specialized experience in handling hazardous materials transport or specialized cargo within the Indo-Pacific region

Clearance & Physical Requirements

• Eligibility for a Secret Security Clearance is mandatory.
• Must be able to remain seated for approximately 50% of the work time.
• May need to move around inside the office to interact with colleagues and access equipment; tasks may include virtual communications and presentations.
