Transportation Representative - Supply Chain Operations

About the Role

The Transportation Operations Center (TOC) is Amazon's command hub overseeing transportation execution throughout the supply chain, ensuring smooth freight movement from vendors to fulfillment centers and carrier hubs across North America, India, and Europe. The role is critical in managing both inbound and outbound logistics pipelines to guarantee timely pickups and deliveries, while proactively resolving issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as an intermediary linking external partners such as carriers, vendors, and suppliers with internal teams including Retail, Finance, IT support, and Fulfillment Centers.
• Extract and interpret data from various platforms using tools like Excel, Access, and SQL to provide reports that inform operational decisions.
• Establish, monitor, and analyze key performance indicators to enhance business efficiency.
• Define detailed functional requirements for Amazon's technology developers to create scalable system solutions.
• Evaluate emerging trends rapidly and make data-informed decisions to positively impact operations.
• Escalate and track transportation issues systematically to ensure timely resolutions by responsible parties.
• Compile well-structured reports and summaries that detail weekly insights, performance variances, and present these findings in review meetings.
• Deliver excellent real-time customer support in a fast-moving environment to maintain high service standards.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in any field.
• Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel including Pivot Tables, VLookUps, and data modeling.
• Proven experience managing communication with diverse stakeholders, such as senior executives and cross-functional teams, thriving under pressure in fast-paced team settings.
• Strong verbal and written communication capabilities.
• Basic understanding of logistics and supply chain operations.
• Proficiency in using Windows desktop applications including Word, Excel, and web browsers like Internet Explorer and Firefox.
• Ability to perform problem resolution efficiently, document findings clearly, and handle customer interactions professionally.

• Good comprehension to understand and articulate customer issues effectively.
