Role Overview
We seek skilled professionals from diverse backgrounds to join our growing Australian Systems Engineering and Integration team based in Brisbane or Sunshine Coast. This role specializes in Systems Engineering and Safety Assurance. The team supports complex projects by addressing challenges in integrating systems and assets into existing environments to prevent delays and suboptimal results. Our expertise spans Systems Integration, Testing and Commissioning, Progressive Systems Assurance, and Operations and Maintenance Integration, ensuring superior outcomes for projects, operators, and users.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize technical knowledge of rail operations and maintenance to resolve safety and operational challenges, delivering systems engineering and integration solutions for intricate rail projects.
- Develop and implement plans and programs supporting operational testing activities, including Trial Operations.
- Formulate operational readiness and rehearsal plans along with strategies, plans, and roadmaps for technical systems integration.
- Work on technical requirements, application conditions, and task definitions grounded in operational and maintenance concepts.
- Prepare comprehensive test plans, cases, procedures, schedules, and allocate resources for various test campaigns encompassing laboratory testing, on-site technical evaluations, and operational trials.
Candidate Profile
- Possess a bachelor's degree and experience managing large-scale, complex projects, particularly in later project phases (right side of the V-model).
- Experienced in integrative processes covering complex systems from component level through to full operational integration.
- Familiar with strategizing testing and commissioning procedures, including test sequencing, requirement verification, and resource planning.
- Understand Systems Engineering principles, including integrations of operations, assurance, safety, verification, and validation and their role in testing and commissioning.
- Proficiency with IBM Engineering Lifecycle Management tools is advantageous.
- Expertise or strong background in hazard identification, risk management, Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Safety (RAMS), and assurance is highly desirable.
