Role Overview
The Transport Freight Rating & Master Data Specialist will be part of the Transport team and can be located in either Auckland or Wellington. This role involves close collaboration with internal stakeholders and freight customers to uphold accurate customer freight rating structures, billing data, and master data across several transport systems. Ensuring precise billing and data integrity is essential for the financial representation of freight movements.
Key Responsibilities
- Keep customer freight rates, master data, and associated information up to date across multiple transport platforms.
- Conduct validations of freight ratings, reconcile billing data, and review data quality to ensure accurate customer charges.
- Handle and resolve queries from customers regarding freight rates, billing, shipments, and master data.
- Assist with the annual review and update of freight rates ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
- Produce accurate reports and identify patterns, exceptions, and areas where improvements can be made.

Requirements
- Exceptional detail orientation and high numerical accuracy.
- Experience with invoice processing, billing operations, or managing complex data.
- Proficiency in Excel at an intermediate to advanced level, including Pivot Tables, lookups, and data analysis capabilities.
- Strong teamwork, organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple competing tasks effectively.
- A mindset focused on continuous process improvements and data quality enhancement.
