Location and Reporting
This role is located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, within the Intercontinental Hub (ICH), which serves emerging and growth markets across various countries including Brazil, Mexico, Gulf, Turkey, Australia, Taiwan, Korea, and others. The Transformation Lead reports to the AVP of ICH Strategic Capabilities & Transformation and collaborates extensively across multiple leadership functions without direct reports.
Role Summary
The Transformation Lead plays a central role in leading organizational change and establishing governance frameworks that ensure effective execution across the ICX capabilities within commercial and medical functions. The leader drives operational efficiency, standardization, and sustainable implementation of the ICH target operating model to support near 100 million people served by markets in this hub.
Responsibilities
- Develop a transformation agenda aligned with strategic pillars alongside General Managers, Country Medical Officers, and Functional Leads.
- Identify opportunities for scaling operations across ICH markets and set measurable success indicators to monitor progress.
- Establish accountability systems reflecting goals for productivity and execution within ICH affiliates.
- Support affiliate and regional strategy as a collaborative thought partner.
- Define clear decision-making rights and governance processes; standardize escalation and approval workflows across markets.
- Embed and manage the target operating model with resource allocation aligned to strategic priorities coordinating transformation sequencing.
- Implement unified KPIs and governance cadence to align with leadership structures across ICH.
- Chair and facilitate major governance meetings, including leadership and medical committees.
- Eliminate redundant processes to increase efficiency and reduce reporting burdens.
- Optimize capabilities allocation via maturity assessments.
- Drive and manage productivity initiatives, including business case development.
- Conduct benchmarking and review industry best practices to foster continuous improvement.
- Champion the TEAM LILLY engagement initiatives, customizing global campaigns for the ICH context to build team cohesion and enhance Pulse Survey outcomes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's or MBA is advantageous.
- A minimum of 10 years in commercial pharma experience covering sales, marketing, or medical areas.
- Strong project management skills with emphasis on swift implementation.
- Comprehensive cross-functional knowledge including field operations, business planning, and brand management.
- Proven capability in fostering team culture across geographically dispersed and international markets.
- Business-level proficiency in English is essential; knowledge of Spanish or other regional languages is preferred.
