Responsibilities

As a Consultant/Cost Manager within the Cost Advisory team, you will engage across diverse sectors such as commercial, residential, government, sports and leisure, and hospitality. Your tasks will include:

• Undertaking cost planning and estimating activities
• Collaborating effectively within teams to achieve exceptional outcomes
• Managing post-contract duties including variations and progress claim assessments
• Evaluating and analyzing tender submissions
• Providing cost advice and support to colleagues
• Leading projects with guidance from senior leadership, from initiation through completion
• Producing detailed, client-facing reports of high standard
• Establishing and maintaining trustworthy client relationships
• Mentoring junior staff and supporting project coordination efforts
• Traveling regionally on a monthly basis, necessitating a valid driver's license

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is self-assured, practical, and approachable, with:

• A tertiary degree in Quantity Surveying, Finance, Engineering, Law, or Project Management
• Between 2 and 5 years of relevant experience in construction estimating, cost planning, contract management, advisory, risk, or technical consulting
• Strong communication and analytical problem-solving capabilities
• Proven skill in juggling multiple assignments and fulfilling client commitments
• A current, valid driver's license
