Role Purpose
This newly created position is designed to establish and oversee ZURU's inaugural structured training program. Reporting to the International People & Culture Director, the Training Specialist will develop and manage the entire training operation from the ground up, ensuring all learning initiatives are well organized, delivered smoothly, and centralized for easy access by all employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the complete training schedule, including coordinating sessions, inviting participants, booking rooms and technology, and supporting session delivery as needed.
- Collaborate with internal experts and external speakers to source, brief, and oversee the facilitation of specialized training sessions.
- Create and maintain a centralized repository for all training content, recordings, and resources to provide a seamless learning experience.
- Implement a review process to regularly update, refresh, or retire training materials to ensure relevance and accuracy.
- Seek opportunities to automate administrative tasks such as scheduling, attendance tracking, and content management to enhance efficiency.
- Utilize AI tools for drafting communications, summarizing participant feedback, and organizing training materials to reduce administrative workload.
- Monitor and report on attendance, engagement, and effectiveness of training programs, providing insights to leadership and facilitators.
- Maintain ZURU Academy as the authoritative source for training completion status and assessments, applying formal evaluations only for critical competencies.
- Embed ZURU's core values and culture, including radical candour, into all aspects of training coordination to reinforce cultural alignment.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proven experience coordinating complex training programs involving multiple stakeholders and varied session formats across time zones.
- Strong interpersonal skills to engage and manage relationships with internal experts, external trainers, and leadership while adhering to schedules.
- Enthusiasm and proficiency in leveraging AI technologies to streamline administrative workflows.
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems or content platforms, recording and tagging sessions, plus confidence in facilitating simple standard training when necessary.
- A pragmatic approach with a focus on execution and meticulous attention to detail.
- Alignment with ZURU's innovative culture, willing to challenge traditional corporate training methodologies.
