Job description
Overview
The Trade & Fx Counsellor serves as the primary liaison for all trade-related banking products, including forex, cross-border, and domestic services, for designated branches or regions. This role involves fostering trade relationships and delivering forex support either independently or through collaboration with the branch team, aligning with the broader goals of the branch banking division.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of product and marketing strategies rolled out by the central product team.
- Address client inquiries and fulfill trade-related requirements by coordinating with operations, product, and central teams.
- Accountable for meeting income and foreign currency throughput targets for trade forex products in assigned branches or business units.
- Ensure portfolio health by focusing on digital activation, enhancing product penetration, maintaining average monthly balances, and achieving desired transaction values.
- Assist the sales team to meet customer acquisition goals through collaborative and independent client engagements.
- Provide training and act as a subject matter expert for sales and relationship management teams.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with both individual and corporate clients.
- Oversee customer-centric operations to guarantee satisfaction by adhering to delivery and service quality standards.
- Analyze competitors and gather feedback from various channels and customers to inform growth strategies.
- Suggest and implement process improvements to enhance service efficiency and quality throughout the branch network.
- Keep stakeholders informed on trade and forex transaction updates regularly.
Qualifications and Experience
- Educational background: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology, Mathematics, Commerce, Arts, Science, Biology, Business, Computers, or Management.
- Professional experience: Between 10 to 18 years of pertinent industry experience.
