Elite Talent Hub LTD specializes in permanent staffing solutions for clients worldwide. A respected leader in the construction and DIY sector is currently seeking a Trade Counter Sales Representative to join their vibrant team located in Cork, County Cork, Ireland.
Role Overview
In this position, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers, helping them select building materials and DIY products that suit their needs. Your responsibilities include offering knowledgeable advice, maintaining an orderly and stocked store environment, and collaborating closely with warehouse and yard staff to ensure customer orders are fulfilled efficiently. Delivering exceptional customer service at all times is central to this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding customer service both in-person and over the telephone by responding to queries and assisting with transactions.
- Develop and nurture strong relationships with customers to understand and meet their requirements.
- Continuously acquire and communicate knowledge about products and services to guide customers effectively.
- Maintain store organization, cleanliness, and ensure shelves are consistently stocked.
- Participate in inventory audits and support stock control processes.
- Coordinate with warehouse and yard teams to ensure smooth order processing and delivery.
- Follow company policies along with health and safety protocols consistently.
Qualifications and Skills
- Prior experience in retail or customer service roles is advantageous.
- Knowledge of plumbing, heating products, or building materials is beneficial.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities for interacting well with customers and colleagues.
- A proactive mindset focused on finding solutions to challenges.
- Basic competency with IT systems and digital tools.
